Coming to Lansing

coming September 16, 2018

welcome

our Mission

We exist to provide a table where ordinary people can encounter an extraordinary God through Jesus Christ in the local community, in the nation, and around the world.

Why Lansing?

Because Lansing is Awesome. that’s why.

As the capital of Michigan, Lansing provides many benefits for church plants and ministries. Lansing is in the center of Michigan and just a 2-hour drive from 90% of Michigan’s population.

Lansing is one of the last sanctuary cities for immigrants and refugees, which brings racial and ethnic diversity. There are about 120 different nations represented here and Michigan State University has almost 10,000 international students.

We feel called to the area of Old Town, on the North side of the Lansing school district where over 50% of African-American boys do not graduate high school. Old Town is also close to Waverly school district, which is one of the most racially diverse school districts in all of Michigan.

Lansing provides affordable housing, which brings socioeconomic diversity. The median income here is $37,426.00

Lansing has the potential to become a glimpse of the Revelation 7 Church where every tribe, every tongue, and every nation, will be presented to God!

MEET THE pastors

Maria

was born in Denver, Colorado after her parents came to the United States from the state of Guanajuato, Mexico. She comes from a family of entrepreneurs that have built Taquerías (Mexican grocery stores with take-out food) in several US cities including Holland, Michigan. She graduated with a Bachelors in Business Administration from GVSU in 2008 thinking that she was going to use her talents to build a successful business, but little did she know that God had other plans.

Luis

was born in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, and grew up all over the Chicagoland area. Luis graduated from two seminaries with three degrees: a Certificate of Ministerial Arts from Ebenezer Bible Institute, a Graduate Certificate in Urban Pastoral Ministry and a Masters of Arts in Theology from Western Theological Seminary. With a solid background in churches and non-profits, Luis is thrilled for this new chapter in Lansing.
